I was born on the 27th of October of 1978, in Castanheira de Pera (Leiria) and soon I emigrated with my family
to Venezuela where I had my first contact with a football. I came back to Portugal at the age of thirteen and my family chose to settle in Oliveira do Bairro.

The beginning in OBSC (Oliveira do Bairro Sport Club)..
The "football fever" was too much, and I quickly started gathering with neighbours for football matches they organized. As my performances were very positive, the invitation to join them in the local club didn't take too long and I started my journey in the youth teams of Oliveira do Bairro Sport Club.
From debut to contract..
After five years in the youth teams, and my last year as a youth where I divideth the youth team with the senior team, the debut for the senior squad appearded, in the 3rd nacional divison, in a classic
OBSC 2 - 0 Arrifanense! In the next year my continuity was evident, my growth inside the team was big and as the success of the team was a reality (3rd divison champions and consequent promotion to 2nd division B), soon came my first professional contract. With everything happening so fast and without knowing the professional footbal reality, I ended up signing a four year deal with OBSC.
Sanjoanense..
When my contract ended, my will to try a club with higher objectives was huge. Among some invitations an offer from AD Sanjoanense arrived, a club from the north of Portugal in the same division but with more ambition and tradition, as the viewing was higher and if I made a good season it could open some doors.
The choise was quick, Sanjoanense!!!
Feirense..
A great season in Sanjoanense, where we had great perfomances in the league as in the cup, opened doors to the 2nd league and the invitation from Feirense, a stable and in growth club, was the next step that followed. In Feirense I made four good seasons which made me known in the professional footbal. As the highest point, I may highlight the game with Benfica, in "Estádio da Luz", in my last year playing for Feirense. Where we ended up loosing 1-0, thought we've made an outstandind game. Facing players like Rui Costa, Nuno Gomes, Cardozo, Di Maria, Luisão among others was a huge pleasure, and we where up to the challenge.
Santa Clara..
After four years in Feirense, an invitation for a two year project, attractive and motivator, came up. Where I could help Santa Clara returning to the 1st League. In the first year we made a great season, we were fighting for the promotion all season but we ended up loosing it in the last game, ironically, against Feirense. I'm still here in the 2nd year of the project, and we're in the right track.. we are still fighting!!!
Long Throw-ins..
Stretching from at an early date it was a characteristic that was not unperceived and that labeled me. In every club I rendered it was used, but in fact, where I created more hazard was in Feirense. I don't know if it was beacause of the field measures, despite of creating hazard in any field, maybe it was because we had a well physically structured squad, if because of the "fogaça", if because they trusted more in this mine characteristic and explored its fullness, maybe in a little bit of each factor is the secret. But the reality is that goals that arose from my throw-ins increased from season to season, in which the last one we scored ten goals from my throws. Among interviews to newspapers and television I was being named as the "homem dos lançamentos" (the guy of the long throw-ins).
